The International Exchange Center Provides Support to International Students Coming from All Over the World.
At SHOBI where students gather from all over the world, the International Exchange Center was established with the aim of supporting all our international students. We provide consultations on all your concerns related to learning and also provide assistance with your Japanese language studies and life in Japan.
Support available in English, Chinese, Korean and Japanese. We provide support from the international student's point of view on career decisions.
Assistance in visa applications is provided. As a 'suitable school' selected by the Immigration Service Agency of Japan, in general students are granted a student visa valid for 2 years or 4 years.
We provide introductions to affiliated dormitories and all-round support with adjusting to life in Japan including assistance with any problems you may meet when living in Japan and providing hospital and clinic information in times of emergency.
We provide information about the scholarships on and off-campus, and assist the application procedures.
For international students wishing to further their studies after graduation, we provide information on schools and support during the application procedures.

Support for Music Industry Job Searching
Support for students who wish to work in the music industry is provided by SHOBI's career center. In addition to career and job hunting guidance, individual consultations and job hunting lectures, the career center also provides support with regards to corporate training and introductions to part-time work.
Here we will introduce the main aspects of the Career Center's support system.
The Career Center provides individual consultations to each and every student regardless of school year or department. Job hunting and after graduation career advice, industry research methods, self-analysis advice, entry sheet and interview tips are also provided.
Seminar-style career guidance is held on a regular basis at the Career Center to aid students in their decisions on job hunting. The seminars are packed with information on how to smoothly and successfully find a job.
The Career Center conducts special career support lectures and programs , such as the 'Summer Program' for self-analysis and interview countermeasures, for students to acquire the ability to be successful in job hunting.
Joint company explanation sessions are held with recruiters from record labels, entertainment production companies, television production companies, concert/event production companies, sound and lighting related companies and live houses. In addition, individual company explanation sessions are also held.
Students will be able to collect information not only through the internet, but also acquire information on job vacancies (part-time job included) and internship information. Furthermore, students can also receive information on job vacancies through the 'Job Get Mail' service provided.
Support for students wishing to acquire various qualifications and credentials beneficial to job hunting, such as the 'Business Manner Proficiency' qualification, and the 'NKEN Test in News Proficiency' qualification, is also provided in the form of countermeasure lectures and examinations.
The Debut Center Supports the Dream to Debut Professionally.
Anyone who wishes to make music dreams of a professional debut. SHOBI's Debut Center exists with the aim to make our students' dreams come true. As the bridge between the school and the music industry, starting with the 'S-1 Audition', the Debut Center provides debut support to our students.
The Debut Center has connections to the music industry, including production and record labels, in order to support our students in making their debut. Through the center-organized largest on-campus audition, the 'S-1 Audition', many students have been able to reach their dreams of debuting. Furthermore, debuted artists' promotion activities will also be supported by the debut center in coordination with the Music Business department label 'KASUGA-GUMI'. We support new talent in their progress.
The S-1 Audition is the largest audition , where all students from all departments are eligible to participate, with the aim to discover and debut artists from within the school. Seeking an artist with talents not only in music but also encompassing the entire entrainment sector.
The only quality required is the desire to move the people.All current students and graduates of SHOBI are eligible (inclusive of groups that include students from SHOBI).
Judging through submitted audio or video recordings (1 song).
Screening Final Round (Live Performance Judging)Final round of judging at an off-campus concert hall to a paying audience. The best performance will be selected by professionals from record label companies and music producers. In addition to the actual performance, the number of audience members each group has managed to call is also considered during judging.
Note: Selection method differs for each competition.
